Description:
This role is focused on delivering accurate and reliable bookkeeping support across a portfolio of client businesses each month. The Bookkeeper will be responsible for maintaining precise financial records, reviewing transaction coding and classifications, and ensuring all entries comply with established accounting standards. A strong emphasis is placed on understanding client-specific requirements, maintaining clear communication, and supporting both clients and internal teams with financial clarity and consistency. The position also involves identifying inconsistencies in records and correcting historical bookkeeping issues to ensure fully updated and actionable financial data.

Key Responsibilities:

Client Relationship & Communication:

  • Assist in onboarding new clients by reviewing their business structure, financial requirements, and setting clear expectations
  • Conduct regular monthly check-ins with clients to collect documents, resolve queries, and understand ongoing financial needs
  • Lead scheduled consultation calls and maintain strong professional relationships with assigned clients
  • Act as a primary point of contact for financial discussions and updates

Bookkeeping & Financial Management:

  • Maintain and update bookkeeping records for multiple client accounts simultaneously
  • Review financial transactions to ensure proper classification, coding, and accuracy
  • Prepare and analyze financial statements including profit & loss reports, balance sheets, and general ledger summaries
  • Identify and resolve discrepancies in historical records and bring accounts fully up to date

Collaboration & Support:

  • Work closely with internal and global teams to ensure smooth service delivery across all client accounts
  • Support additional accounting and operational tasks as assigned by management
  • Contribute to improving workflow efficiency and bookkeeping accuracy across the team

Required Qualifications:

  • At least 2 years of experience working with QuickBooks (Desktop and Online preferred)
  • Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related discipline
  • Working knowledge of Excel and financial reporting tools
  • Strong understanding of accounting fundamentals including debits and credits
  • Experience handling multiple client accounts (15 or more simultaneously)
  • High attention to detail with strong accuracy in financial data handling
  • Proven experience communicating with clients regarding financial matters

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Prior experience in a consulting or advisory-based accounting environment
