Job Description

Salary: $125,000 - 175,000 per year Requirements:

  • Bachelors degree in computer science, engineering, math, or a STEM discipline; OR 2+ years of professional software development experience in lieu of a degree (applicable internship experience accepted).
  • Proficient in development with assembly, C, or C++.
  • Demonstrated experience in developing, debugging, and deploying software utilized in practical applications or projects.
  • Familiarity with real-time rendering, game engine development, physics simulation, or other high-performance computing in resource-constrained environments.
  • Innovative problem-solving skills and a strong foundation in engineering principles.
  • Exceptional written and verbal communication abilities.
  • Capacity to adapt and work efficiently in a fast-paced environment with evolving requirements.
  • Knowledge of networking protocols (UDP, TCP/IP, etc.) and distributed systems.
  • Awareness of security challenges related to distributed systems and internet services.
  • Must be ready to work extended hours and weekends as necessary.
Responsibilities:
  • Create highly reliable, real-time software for the gateways, satellites, user terminals, and switches that constitute our low latency, high capacity satellite-based global network.
  • Engage in and lead architecture, design, and code evaluations.
  • Generate prototypes and oversee experiments to validate essential design ideas.
  • Build tools for software development and deployment, data analysis and visualization, and testing execution across various settings, including virtualized hardware environments, real hardware-in-the-loop simulations, and on-orbit testing.
