Repair / Maintenance Person

Pioneer Ace Hardware, your local hardware store, is looking for a Repair / Maintenance Person to join our team. The Small Engine Repair Specialist will work in our rental and service department.

Duties will include, but not be limited to;

• Diagnose and repair small engines and power equipment
• Perform preventative maintenance and safety inspection
• Service rental equipment as well as customer’s power equipment
• Provide parts quotes to customers with approved pricing from buyer
• Check rentals in/out each day
• Track and update the daily rental overdue list
• Train customers on proper use of power equipment
• Help manage parts and inventory
• Check in parts orders; report damages, shortages, overages, and other discrepancies to the Backroom Coordinator and/or Store Manager.
• Stay up to date with service and sales training for Stihl
• Communicate and follow up with customers on service updates of equipment

What We're Looking For

• Previous small engine repair experience preferred
• Mechanical aptitude and troubleshooting skills
• Ability to safely lift and move equipment
• Strong communication and customer service skills
• Dependable, self-motivated, and organized
• High School Diploma or equivalent
• Ability to work weekends as scheduled
