Job Description

Lighthouse Lab Services is working with a hospital system located near Danville, PA that is looking for a pathologist assistant to join their team on the evening shift. This position will require the ASCP certification.

Essential Functions:

-Dictates complete and accurate gross description.

-Performs frozen sections and maintains the cryostats

-Performs surgical specimen dissection on simple to complex specimens and provides quality material for routine histology studies and other specialized tests as required

-Disposes of tissues and reagents according to standard operating procedures

-Performs and documents quality control

-Performs routine and preventive maintenance processes according to standard operating procedures

Basic Preferred Profile:

- PA(ASCP)

- Minimum of a bachelor's degree

- Successful completion of a NAACLS accredited Pathologists’ Assistant program

 

Salary and Benefits:

- 80k-100k based on experience and title
