The Order Picker plays a key role in the warehouse operation by accurately picking, packing, stocking, and receiving a wide range of plumbing materials. This position works with both large items, such as metal and PVC piping, and small components like fasteners and endcaps, using RF devices, material handling equipment, and basic computer systems to support efficient order fulfillment and customer service.
Responsibilities
You join a growing operation that actively invests in internal talent and promotes from within, as shown by multiple recent promotions from this team. You gain a long-term opportunity with strong professional growth potential in a stable, high-volume warehouse environment. You benefit from hands-on experience with a wide range of materials and equipment, building skills that are highly valued across logistics, construction supply, and distribution industries.
Work Environment
The role is based in a large warehouse filled with plumbing supplies, including 10–15 ft pipes, metal and PVC piping, and small bolts and fasteners. Work takes place both indoors and outdoors in all weather conditions, so you must be comfortable working in very hot summers and very cold winters. The environment is active and physically demanding, involving frequent movement, lifting, and operation of equipment such as pallet jacks, forklifts, RF scan guns, and computers at the will-call booth. The facility emphasizes safety, cleanliness, and organization, and team members help maintain a tidy workspace through regular sweeping and general housekeeping.
