Responsibilities:

Splice various types and sizes of fiber optic cable, including single mode, multimode, stranded, and ribbon
Perform high-count ribbon fiber splicing 288 / 432, 864, and above
Conduct testing using: OTDR / OLTS / Power meter
Analyze and troubleshoot basic technical problems or issues related to fiber optic infrastructure
Review, interpret, and work with various maps, drawings, blueprints, and testing documents
Perform daily tests, checks, and maintenance of splicing and testing equipment
Conduct optical continuity and conformance testing to ensure network integrity

Skills/Must have:

Working knowledge of various fusion splicing and optical testing equipment
Familiarity with fiber optic cable types, color codes, and environments (e.g., Multi-mode, Single-mode, CAT 3, CAT 5, Riser, Plenum)
Ability to work independently and collaboratively with others
Perform high-count ribbon fiber splicing 288 / 432, 864, and above
