Responsible for providing ancillary support to the Anesthesiologists by ensuring all equipment is functioning properly, maintained and clean. Provides and ensures the department is stocked with supplies. Provides on-call coverage for Open Heart Support.QUALIFICATIONS
Work requires the level of knowledge normally acquired through completion of two or three years of occupationally-specific education beyond High School or an Associate's Degree in Respiratory Therapy or closely related filed and no previous experience. Work requires the ability to resolve problems that require the use of basic scientific, mathematical or technical principles. Work requires the ability to exchange information on factual matters, schedule appointments, greet visitors, explain Hospital policies and/or relay messages to appropriate personnel. Current and continued BLS (Basic Life Support) certification required.Effective January 2019, St. Joseph's Health requires all employee certifications for Basic Life Support (BLS), Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS) and Pediatric Advanced Life Support (PALS) to be granted through the American Heart Association

St. Joseph's Health officially opened the Totowa Health Campus during a special ceremony that included a ribbon cutting and a blessing by the Most Reverend Kevin Sweeney, Bishop of the Diocese of Paterson. More than 100 people attended the event, including Congressman Bill Pascrell, 9th District of New Jersey; John Coiro, Mayor of Totowa; and Senator Kristen Corrado, of New Jersey's 40th Legislative District.The new campus, located at 225 Minnisink Road in Totowa, is a 140,000-square-foot facility that integrates a comprehensive listing of outpatient services, including primary and urgent care, diagnostic imaging including MRI and CT, Radiology, Lab Services and Pharmacy all under one roof. A host of medical and surgical physician offices are located on the campus, including cardiology, urology and gynecology, along with specialty Centers including Rehabilitation and Physical Therapy. This fall, the health campus will also be the new home of a Comprehensive Cancer Center opening in October.
