Job Description:

The Division of Enrollment Management is looking for an Admissions Officer III to oversee applicant services operations and support the admissions review process. In this role, you will manage call center staff, oversee application processing workflows, ensure data accuracy across admissions systems, and contribute to strategic initiatives and student outreach.

Key responsibilities include:

Operations

  • Oversee day-to-day operations of Applicant Services call center staff processing undergraduate, graduate, and professional applications
  • Manage application deadlines, workflow, document imaging, and referral systems
  • Troubleshoot and resolve data discrepancies within MyAdmissions and SIS systems
  • Monitor data integration between admissions systems to ensure accuracy and efficiency
  • Maintain knowledge of academic programs, majors, and degree levels to support application processing
  • Ensure timely and effective applicant and departmental communications through systems such as Slate and Salesforce

Compliance

  • Apply knowledge of immigration documentation and residency regulations to determine tuition classification
  • Serve on the Admissions Residency Team, assisting with complex cases and preparing petitions for the Residency Appeals Committee
  • Ensure compliance with privacy regulations and institutional policies

Supervision

  • Supervise, train, and evaluate full-time and OPS staff
  • Develop and deliver training materials for admissions systems and processes
  • Coordinate staff schedules to ensure adequate office coverage
  • Monitor time reporting and approvals
  • Participate in recruitment, interviewing, and onboarding of new staff
  • Conduct performance evaluations in alignment with division and university standards

Student Services

  • Provide in-person assistance for applicants and the campus community
  • Respond to phone and email inquiries
  • Facilitate inbound and outbound call operations, including call campaigns
  • Serve as a point of contact for OneStop Enrollment Services and handle escalated cases

Admissions Review and Additional Duties

  • Participate in holistic review of freshman applications and provide decision recommendations
  • Complete assigned application reviews within established timelines
  • Assist in the development of the Office of Admissions’ annual report
  • Support leadership in strategic planning and process improvement initiatives
  • Perform other duties and special projects as assigned

Expected Salary:

$52,000 annually

Required Qualifications:

Master’s degree in an appropriate area; or a bachelor’s degree in an appropriate area and two years of relevant experience.

  • Experience supervising
  • Knowledge of University of Florida and State University System policies
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Experience with customer service and public relations
  • Experience with Slate, Salesforce, and/or PeopleSoft Campus Solutions
  • Microsoft Office Suite proficiency
